Primary Classes
The wonderful preschool memories begin in our classrooms. Where in nursery, we start by creating informal learning experiences that generates a positive foundation for preschool. We engage them with other kids at our preschools and together they explore toys, look at books, sing, play on puzzles etc. During the early childhood education, we teach them that school is a safe place to explore their world in many new & exciting ways. We have various activities to support our modern preschool curriculum including art and craft and the wonderful concept rooms. This introduces or reinforces fine social skills.
Pine Crest Children Academy Junior High School’s Nursery program for ages 3 and 4 is focused on school readiness and creating a positive foundation for learning. We believe that children should learn through play and that play is essential and fundamental to a child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Learning within our Nursery School program is made visible through observation and documentation. Teachers observe the children as they learn, take photographs, and document what children say as they learn. Our rooms are filled with evidence of children’s learning through play and discovery.
Our experienced Nursery teachers are committed to working with you and your child. Throughout our Nursery School program, children are closely observed by program teachers and are given opportunities for learning based on their observed interests. We believe that a child should be an active participant in their learning and therefore our teachers develop projects around the emerging interests of the children in their group. Through these projects children and teachers work as a collaborative team learning by exploring and manipulating objects, asking questions, solving problems and performing experiments.
